Course Objectives

• Understand topics of operations research.
• formulate problems and find appropriate solutions,
• tackle linear, integer and goal programming problems.

Course Description

Introduction to linear programming, simplex method, graphical solutions of LP problems, sensitivity analysis, integer programming, zero-one programming, goal programming, transportation problems. We will explore how to formulate problems and solve them with appropriate techniques which will include exact methods and heuristics. We will utilize GAMS, Lindo, Lingo, Excel Solver which are the basic softwares widely used in OR
