Course Description

Marine Geochemistry is a research field that covers the ongoing processes marine chemical, physical, biologic and geologic process controlling mechanisms of marine environment. This course introduces students the seawater chemistry and sediments, formation, alteration, deposition and diagenetic processes. In this course, element cycles (carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus), climate, paleoclimate and paleoenvironment fields are also introduced.
