Course Objectives		The course aims to describe circulation and dynamics of the polar oceans, including the Nordics Seas, the Arctic Ocean and the Southern Ocean. The topics are discussed with respect to climatic variations and compared for the Arctic and Antarctic regions.
Course Description		Bu ders Kutup denizlerinin temel sirkulasyon ozelliklerini, soguk deniz suyunun termodinamigini, karisim teorisini ve yogun su katmanlarinin olusumunu, deniz buzu olusumunu, kara buzullarinin erimesini ve Arktik ve Antartika Okyanuslari icin isi butcesini kapsayacaktir. Bu surecler genel iklim degisiklikleri ve suregelen kuresel isinma ile alakalidirlar.
