Course Objectives

To give historical and general information about the avionic systems with the information about fundamental sensing technology and modern sensors are aimed.

Course Description

In this course, historical evolution of avionics, electrical power systems, radio wave based communication, localization and sensing systems, radars, satellite navigation systems, magnetic and inertial sensing technology, air data sensors, altitude sensors, sensor fusion and state estimation, avionic architectures, buses, computation units, cockpit equipments, avionic standards and certifications are taught.
