PEM 132E - Plant Material I
Course Objectives
The characteristics and the ecological – soil requirements of broad-leaved trees tree-like shrubs, and ornamental plants that form the group of flowering and enclosed seed bearing plants (Angiospermae) will be covered considering their native regions. In terms of architectural and aesthetic potential of these plants, the size and shape (habitus), leaf type, branching habit, fruits and flowers, and landscape usage will be analyzed.
Course Description
The course will be held in two parts as the theoretical part in the classroom, and the outdoors practice. The dates of field trips and the outside class activities may vary depending on the seasonal weather forecast.
