Course Objectives
The object of this course is to stress the importance of creative industries depending on discussions in the literature, developments in world cities and determining development strategies by putting forward contributions of economic structure to the spatial development and discussing the new development strategies for cities in this process.
Course Description
Descripition of creativity and creative industries, their development in urban areas, creative urban development, creative industries in urban economy, creativity and urban development strategies, creativity and urban space, creative city, creative cities and characteristics of creative cities, cases of creative cities and their characteristics, conditions of urban competitiveness in global and regional scales, the role of creative class in an urban labour market, the role of creative clusters in an urban space.

1- An analysing of urban economy and sectoral structure
2- An understanding of sectoral-economic developments and urban spaces
3- An analysing of the effects of economic developments on urban policies
4- An evaulation of the effects of sectoral structure on urban economy and urban
development strategies
