Course Objectives

1. Enabling students to adapt to the expectations and standards of the industry in shorter time cycles by introducing them to design practice.
2. Introducing students with leading design practitioners to familiarize them with the specific issues of the profession and professional life prior to graduation.

Course Description

Introduction to Professional Practice in Industrial Design, Preparing CVs and Portfolios. Preparing for Job Applications, Verbal and Written Presentation Techniques, Client Relations, Legal, Financial and Administrative Responsibilities, Business Management in Design Practice. Organization of Design Office, Participation to National and International Competitions, Professional Rights and Professional Organizations (ETMK, ICSID). Guest Speakers. Visits to In-House and Design Consultancy Offices.
