Course Objectives

Ecology, Ecosystems and settlements, ecological process, Urban ecosystems; conceptual foundations of urban ecology; urbanisation dynamics and ecosytems interactions, planning approaches to protect natural environment; Management of natural sources and sustainability, New approaches for sustaining ecosystems, eco-profiling and eco-mapping.

Course Description

- the relationships between humans settlements and ecosystems;
- demands on urban development and ecology,
- urban development dynamics and basic environmental problems
- effects on ecosystems and basic cycles of environmental problems
urban planning and policies from an ecological view;
