Course Objectives The rising importance of regional science all over the world makes also important to teach the main contents of regional science and its contributions to city and regional planning students.
Course Description The course includes the topics such as regional planning and regional science concepts, the evolution of regional planning and regional science, regional growth and development, regional inequalities, regional analysis and regional planning approaches.
Course Outcomes During the semester, each student is expected to make a research mainly using academic books and journals and to prepare a term paper and presentation on a selected subject related to course topics. There will be a midterm exam, homework and final exam. Active participation during the lectures and presentation of the homework will be individually evaluated.

Required Facilities Course Format and Requirements:
• • Students are expected to read articles in the reading list.
• Students are responsible from the reading list and all course subjects and materials for the midterm exam, individual homework and final exam.
• Student participation to the courses and discussions is also expected.

• Homework presentation subjects will be determined beforehand, within the term.
• References that will be used in homework should be primarily articles in academic books and journals in any language. Internet resources can be only used as supporting materials.
• The students are expected to give an outline and abstract (1-3 pages) about homework on 19/10/2021. The presentations will start on 21/12/2021.
