Course Objectives

1. To introduce the fundamentals of computer programming, to gain computational literacy
2. To train students the solution process of a problem by using a programming language
3. To define the computational form of architecture by conceptual and geometrical models
4. To explore design and design optimization problems through computational models

Fundamentals of computer programming; Algorithm development; Flowchart structures; General structure of programming and programming process; Using editors and file types; Variables and data types; Operators, expressions; Input – Output statements; Conditional statements; Loop structures and statements; Procedure and function structure; Models used for the definition of architectural form to computer; Definition techniques and applications; Programming applications for architectural problems.
