SBP 262 - Landscape Planning and Design
Course Objectives
To reveal the difference between landscape planning and city planning, to create the perception of landscape, to mention the place and importance of landscape design in urban design studies, to reveal the relationship between built environment, urban life and transportation studies by producing alternative methods in urban design studies, and to develop students' knowledge and skills in design.
Course Description
Introduction to Landscape Architecture, historical development of the concept of landscape. Green system planning. Green area types and standards. Green areas around the residence. Children's playgrounds. The concept of parking and its types. Square and pedestrian paths. Sports fields. Botanical and zoos. Planning of national parks and recreation areas.
