Course Objectives 1. Sketch modeling as a designing and processing tool. The aim is to built fast and multiple
alternatives with the effective use of sketch modeling for learning to build up functional and unique forms.
2. The basic rules to build up clean and evaluative presentational models.
3. The rational and balanced use of analog and digital production techniques
Course Description Description of hand tools and machines and it's functions. Modelling paste, foam and plaster
forming methods. Paper and wood; sandwich panel, lamination; plastic sheet; acrylic; formgiving techniques. Moulding methods. Production of digital model parts; production methods and applications with 3D printing, lazer cutting and CNC machining.
Course Outcomes Students will be able to;
1. Learn to work clean, tidy and securely in a workshop facility as a habit.
2. Learn to use basic modelmaking tools and digital production machines.
3. Will process modelmaking materials such as paper, wood and plastics in an economic approach; will learn to cut, bend and smoothing. Will make decisions for montage.
