Course Objectives
1.To gain knowledge and experience about computer-aided solid modeling processes and applications.
2.To gain knowledge and experience about parametric design approaches
3.To gain knowledge and experience about multidisciplinary, analytical and layered approaches to product design
4.To gain the ability to develop designs in a digital environment with part and assembly approaches
Course Description
Computer aided solid modeling concept, parametric design concept and principles, part and assembly relations, role of part manager design tree in the design process, design and modeling of simple products, design and modeling of complex products, assembly concept and different assembly approaches, plastic material oriented design and realistic visualization.
Course Outcomes
1. Will have knowledge about the mathematical infrastructure of three-dimensional modeling and learn the basic concepts
2. Will have knowledge about advanced modeling techniques
3. Will be able to create manufacturable forms.
