Course Objectives
? To approach and discuss design problems in relation to environmental, social and urban aspects,
increase ethical awareness for individual and collective working responsibility.
? To build an ability to develop spatial programs based on socio-cultural aspects and evaluate
alternative concept designs through comprehensive discussions.
? To enable students to think, research and design using functional, spatial, structural parameters etc.
? To investigate recent technologies in form finding and represent the formal, structural and tectonic
qualities in appropriate scales and detail levels.
? To use representation tools and digital programs sufficiently in order to express the process and the
outcome of the design.
Course Description
Intermediate architectural design project. Development and exploration of architectural theories, design
concepts and processes involved in creating architecture with an emphasis with the program and space
planning.
