Course Objectives 1. Besides the designing of the designer, when a designed product is evaluated, the matter of user perception will be researched.
2. Besides the physical possibilities and constraints of the materials, perceptive affordeneces and constraints of the materials will be evaluated.
3. The phenomenon of vision will be introduced in various ways.
Course Description Definitions of vision in design. Process design: selection of the material, relations between product and design process, relations between design and production. Perceiving material as designer: Vision, modular theory, neurological characteristics, minimum conditions of vision (Limits of vision). Difference between vision and hearing: Relations between the eye and brain. Understanding holography to understand vision
Course Outcomes Student, who passed the course satisfactorily can:
1. Learn various characteristics of the phenomenon of vision
2. Gain knowledge on the process design in design
3. Learn modular theory, neurological characteristics and minimum conditions of vision
4. Learn the difference between vision and hearing and relations between the eye and brain.
