SBP 4037E - Urban Ecology

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to understand the interaction between living organisms in urban spaces, the interaction between the built and natural environment, and the relationship between sociological and ecological risks.

Course Description

In the course, the purpose and scope of urban ecology will be emphasized, different approaches will be examined, natural habitats will be investigated in the example of Istanbul, and analyses will be made, especially on urban gardens (bostans) with their social-economic-ecological components.
