Course Objectives Gaining an understanding of scale issues through the exploration of different design methods in landscape design.
Approaching project topics of various scales and contexts within a conceptual framework.
Designing small urban spaces with different themes.
Generating ideas on place and settlement concepts and conducting creative experimental design studies.
Course Description Experimental designs that offer a variety of uses to integrate small urban voids into urban life; creative (innovative) design approaches; design methods (strategies) to address scale issues.
Course Outcomes Upon completing this course, students will:

Gain an understanding of scale issues in landscape and urban design by experimenting with different design methods within the studio.
Develop the ability to approach project topics of various scales and contexts within a conceptual framework.
Design small urban spaces in cities with different themes.
Enhance their ability to conceptualize concrete design topics.
Acquire critical thinking skills and the ability to generate alternative design ideas.
