Course Objectives This course is designed to train students in advanced, practical landscape architecture, with a focus on community design.
Course Description This class will analyze and propose a novel approach for the Gokturk region to enhance community development and the spaces that support it. The class will have a field trip and a round-table discussion. Students will present their idea multiple times, and the selected idea will be developed into a design process. Master plans will be developed at various scales, accompanied by diagrams and sketches.
Course Outcomes 1. Understanding of human behavior in a space and how to manipulate it.
2. Understanding of how to design a continuous program to support community activities.
3. Understanding an advanced and practical technique to present the idea with an efficient master plan and diagram designs.
Pre-requisite(s) Basic understanding of the Göktürk region.
Required Facilities Any design-related materials, such as pens, tracing paper, laptops, etc.
Other The class will run in English.
