It is aimed to inform students about using domestic spaces of homes considering environment, house and user’s perspectives.
Course Description
space, home and house definition, typologies, concepts; use of space, needs, human-space dimension, culture, social pattern, privacy, social interaction, assessment of space, quality of home and life, post occupancy evaluation. housing and use of space in the Turkish house, scale, social pattern, identity, inside-outside of home, time, flexibility,; modern house, cubic houses, change of the plans, language, nonverbal communications, place attachment; use of space in squatters, participation, organization, crowded space; apartments, large housing, distance, intimate, social and public space, meaning of home, social housing, number of housing, anonymity; new housing trends, security, territory.
