Course Objectives 1. To understand and analyze building elements and components

Course Description Analysis, design and construction of building elements. External wall
systems, window and door systems, floor systems, vertical circulation systems, roof systems, partition systems. Constructional design requirements, performance criteria, resources. Design principles of building element systems, Traditional and advanced construction methods. Application studio work: Analysis and synthesis of building element systems
