EUT 619 - Applied Human Factors Methods in Design Research

Course Objectives

1.To gain knowledge and experience on the methods used in human factors research
2.To gain the ability to select the appropriate human factors methods for a design application or research problem
3.Adapting and the research methods used in human factors into industrial design research field

Course Description

Selection of appropriate human factors methods form the problems in industrial design research and applications. Current research fields and trends in human factors research.
Classification of human factors methods: physical methods, cognitive methods and physiological methods. User interface research.
Analysis methods, anthropometric methods, design analysis and improvement methods, evaluation methods. Surveys: questionnaires and interviews.
Application of basic human factors numerical data into the design process and design research,
