Course Description
It provides the knowledge and understanding necessary to allow the student to identify the issues related to inclusion and accessibility, relevant legislation and how to assess the suitability of various environments and their associated facilities. It considers the extent and impact of influencing legislation, regulations and established guidance and examines how to assess and evaluate new and existing environments including public access buildings and spaces, housing and transport. An examination of how physical and attitudinal barriers affect the design and management environments and spaces for disabled and non-disabled people.
