Course Description		Impacts of Agricultural, Industrial and Informational Revolution on urban structure. Conceptual analysis of metropolitan area and metropolitan city. Typical social and physical characteristics of diverse metropolitan areas in the world. Metropolitan development processes in Turkey and Istanbul. Impact of information technologies on the land use of metropolitan area. Metropolitan planning processes, models, strategies, approaches and methodologies. Sustainable metropolitan planning.
