Course Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce the concepts of cultural heritage and heritage values in the broadest sense and give examples of contemporary preservation approaches for these different types of heritages
Course Description Concepts of cultural heritage, definitons and types, cultural heritage values, preservation of cultural heritage, Exmaples from Turkey and other countries
Course Outcomes I. Know and evaluate the cultural heritage concept,
II. Learn the position of the architecture within the concept of cultural heritage,
III. Learn the contemporary approaches for preservation of cultural heritage
IV. Grasp the importance of the interdisciplinary researches
