Course Objectives		1. Giving information on the roots of garden designs in history 2. Teaching together history of architectural styles and garden designs 3. Taking into consideration the historical gardens in the accumulation of cultural heritage
Course Description		Roots of the garden designs in the western cultures: relationship between garden and architecture in Antique Egypt and Antique Greece Relationship between garden and architecture in the Roman Empire period Garden design in the Middle Ages: Europe Garden design in the Byzantine geography Relationship between garden and architecture in the Renaissance style I Relationship between garden and architecture in the Renaissance style II Relationship between garden and architecture in the Baroque style Garden designs in far and near eastern cultures: Traditional chinese garden Traditional Japanese garden Garden in the Islamic culture Traditional Iran garden India-Moghul gardens Relationship between garden and architecture in Turkish culture Garden as cultural heritage; the concept of cultural landscape
