Course Objectives 1. To teach the fundamental concepts of ethics, professional ethics and engineering ethics.
2. To increase the knowledge and teach the importance of rules and principles of engineering ethics.
3. To provide the ability to analyze problems encountered in profession through ethical point of view.
Course Description Definition and history of ethics, Ethical concepts and theories, Value ethics, Practical and professional ethics, Engineering ethics: History, contents, examples from real world, rules and principles with their importance in performing the profession, its place in laws and regulations, The concept of professional responsibilities, Evaluation of example cases with in-classroom debates.
