Course Objectives The aim of this course is to have graduate students of Geomatics Engineering be able to use horizontal and vertical layout techniques that engineering structures requires and quality and control meaurements taking into consideration of inter(national) standards in the pre and post surveying process.
Course Description In this course;
- Engineering surveying techniques and horizontal and/or vertical layout applications of various engineering structures.
- The required accuracies and inter(national) standards of layout and control measurements of engineering structures.
- Structure measurements.
- Orientation of a structure to specific direction (e.g. Qibla determination)
- Project Planning and Management.
will be given to the students.
Course Outcomes Students who completes this course successfully
1-) Scale the position determining methods according to their quality (accuracy, precision) and budget (by optimizing),
2-) Scale the height determining methods according to their quality (accuracy, precision) and budget (by optimizing),
3-) Adapt necessary methods and tools for the application according to their needs,
4-) Choose and install appropriate data platform for the appropriate productions (coordinates, position errors, etc.) based on the national and international standards (BÖHBÜY and ISTOC211),
5-) Classify deformations, define horizontal and vertical deformation determining methods, and investigate the problems.
6-) Organize the production processes on the terrain (choosing the tool, measuring method, evaluation method; reporting and presenting the results with the rules of Labor Safety and Health).
