Course Objectives		1. To give an ability for the preparation of computer aided drawings 2.To give an ability on the dimensioning of technical drawings 3. To give an ability 3D thinking and and drawing
Course Description		Introduction to AutoCAD, Basic operations (setting up & loading, saving a file etc.), 2D drawing (drawing by coordinates), zoom, layers, lines and colors, hatching, adding text to drawing, dimensioning the drawing, managing the external references, Useful tools (Rename, Purge, Inquiry etc.), Printing out, 3D drawings, some adjustments.
Course Outcomes		Students who pass the course will be able to: I. use the CAD functions such as drawing, writing, dimensioning and hatching II. 2D design with CAD systems III. 3D design with CAD systems IV. print out the projects with scale
Pre-requisite(s)
Required Facilities		All the laboratory works will be carried out in computer laboratory. Class and laboratory works will be carried out in computer environment.
Other		Eight homework drawings will be given and the best four drawings of them will be evaluated.
