Course Objectives The purpose of this course is that the students gain the basic knowledge and skills in the subjects like fundamentals of photogrammetry, interior orientation, exterior orientation, flight planning and evaluation ensuring to use of photogrammetry in the entry-level knowledge.
Course Description Photogrammetry course takes as a matter using photogrammetry in entry-level for solution of different problems, knowing the concept of Photogrammetry, being aware of its place in geomatics engineering.
Course Outcomes Students who complete this course successfully
1 Explain the evolution of Photogrammetry in Geomatics Engineering and classifies the application areas.
2 Interpret the coordinate systems used in photogrammetry regarding functions for the solution of the problem.
3 Formulate the mathematical model between the object and the image.
4 Formulate the equations of the transformation between coordinate systems and calculate.
5 Classify the cameras for the photogrammetric studies and decide which one will be used in different type of studies.
6 Design the workflow of the calibration for the cameras.
7 Apply the aerial triangulation method to obtain the control points.
8 Define digital photogrammetry, difference between digital and analog images and compare.
