Course Objectives
1. To teach basic concepts of environmental chemistry,
2. To provide an ability to understand analytical chemistry and to conduct quantitative analysis,
3. To provide an ability to interpret analysis results.
Course Description
Introduction to environmental chemistry. Analytic chemistry and quantitative analysis. Units, data processing. Sample preparation techniques. Volumetric analysis. Gravimetric analysis. Instrumental analysis: Optical methods of analysis.
Course Outcomes
Students who pass the course successfully will be able to:
I. Use basic concepts of environmental chemistry,
II. Do applications in analytical chemistry and quantitative analysis,
III. ,Understand and apply the theoretical principles of volumetric analysis,
IV. Understand and apply the theoretical principles of gravimetric analysis,
V. Understand and apply the theoretical principles of instrumental analysis,
VI. Evaluate analysis results.
