Course Objectives

The application of Fluid Mechanics principles in Civil Engineering is the aim of the course and the following topics are covered:
1. To examine the application of dimensional analysis to hydraulic problems,
2. To give the basics of model theory,
3. To examine the basic equations of pressurized flows and engineering applications,
4. To give basic equations and engineering applications of free surface flows.

Course Description

Dimensional analysis, Model similitude, Pressurized flows, Free Surface Flows, Boundary layer concept.
