Course Objectives

Who are the microorganisms ? Bacteria, protozoa, fungi, virus, algae, how and where they live ? What kind of cell structure do they have ? How can I identify them under microscope, can I ? What kinds of illneses do they cause, and how do we protect ourselves from their harms ?

Course Description

The course emphasizes the importance of microorganisms to human and to the earth. The main goal is teaching the fundamental knowledge of microbiology to students (to base) for the further branch courses, to arouse student’s interest to the microbial world and also to inform students of current microbial developments
