Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide; by addressing the basic principles of land management, land readjustment and land consolidation arrangements, and their related legal aspects with the interpretation views, current situation analysis, land policies development, required technical and conceptual skills be gained.
Course Description
Within the scope of the course; introduction to land management, sustainable land management, the role of land in development, land policies, urban development-zoning and land management relations, general structure of zoning legislation, implementation of urban plans, urban land readjustment, urban-rural relations, arrangement of rural lands, introduction to land consolidation, coastal legislation and land information systems will be discussed.
Course Outcomes
1Reviews environmental issues and vital impact from land management basic administrative.
2Define the concept of sustainable land management, and the land management components and functions
3Understand the importance of the legal infrastructure in land management process. Analyses the legislative infrastructure for the urban management of rural land
4Explain the purpose and functions of land information system; design and analyse land information system, implements and installation process with requirements.
5Understand urbanization development and land-management relations; the zoning legislation related to the regulation of urban areas
6Demonstrate the differences between land development plans and implementation methods; analysis the implementation steps in urban development plans; designs and manages legal and technical operations.
7Understands the methods and approaches to land readjustment, procedures in zoning parcels production, and the method selection
8Expose differences between implementation plans and methods for rural areas; analyse the steps of land management; designs and manages legal and technical operations
9Reviews and recommends solutions approach for land ownership in rural areas and land degradation problems
10Understand the concept of arrangements for rural land consolidation
