Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire the basic concepts of position finding methods, to learn about the types of navigation systems and to gain basic knowledge and application skills about different navigation tools of these systems.
Course Description
The course covers basic concepts/information about navigation systems, positioning methods, the concept of orientation and its applications in different areas of daily life.
Course Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this course;
CLO (Course Learning Outcomes)
1 define navigation and terminology,
2 use mathematical and physical principles of navigation,
3 prepare map information oriented navigation,
4 generate map information in intended standard for oriented navigation,
5 translate to address from location and vice versa,
6 use integrated systems and classify them,
7 define and use indoor navigation methods,
8 transmit properly the location, speed and acceleration.
