Course Objectives
Providing a complementary and detailed information and skills for the students who have already taken Soil Mechanics I course by also contributing to the development of their perspectives and understanding about Geotechnical engineering practice.
Course Description
Seepage and Flow Nets; Stress Distribution; Elastic Theory and immediate settlement calculations; Consolidation and 3D consolidation corrections; Soil mineralogy, soil fabric and structure; Shear Strength of soils, stress paths and pore pressure coefficients; Forensic Geotechnical Engineering.
