Course Objectives
Teaching the basic concepts of engineering economics, allowing students to apply these concepts to engineering problems, and allowing them to find the most economical solution among alternatives.
Course Description
Introduction to engineering economics concepts such as cost concept, time value of money, cash flow models and comparison of alternatives and examination of their roles in decision making mechanisms. Understanding the effects and importance of depreciation and taxes in engineering economics problems.
