RES 111E - Technical Drawing (CAD)

Course Objectives

The objectives of this course are;
1. To give an ability for the preparation of computer-aided drawings
2. To give an ability on the dimensioning of technical drawings
3. To give an ability to 3D thinking and drawing.

Course Description

Introduction to technical drawing and lettering, geometric drawings, principles of projection and multiview projections, sectional views, AutoCAD menus and basic operations, 2D drawing (drawing by coordinates), zoom, layers, lines and colours, hatching, adding text to a drawing, dimensioning the drawing, managing the external references, useful tools, Printing out, 3D drawings.
