Course Objectives 1 - Definition of force and moment vectors and necessary vector algebra
2 - Equilibrium of rigid body (plane and space)
3 - Supports and support reactions, equilibrium of structures, internal forces, normal force,
shear force, torsion and bending moment diagrams
4 - Stress and strain
Course Description Principles of statics, force vector, equilibrium of rigid body, planar forces, center of gravity, supports and support reactions, frames, trusses, cables, stress resultants, strain , axial force, moment of inertia ,shear stress , torsion, bending.
Course Outcomes 1 - Vector algebra (scalar and vectorial product, addition and subtraction), definition of force and moment
2 - Equilibrium of particle and rigid body

4 - Support and support reactions
