JDF 312E - Engineering Surveys

Course Objectives

1. To provide the knowledge of application concept, making of and accuracy of application
2. To teach all the required definitions, concepts and computations for the applications of the transportation structures with the transition curve and application without transition curve
3. To provide the ability to design, develop and apply the engineering projects
4. To provide the ability to survey, compute and control the engineering projects
5. To provide the ability to apply new technologies to the engineering projects

Course Description

Setting Out Of A Point: Setting Out With Polar Coordinates, Setting Out With Perpendicular Coordinates, Setting Out With GPS. Design And Setting Out Of Routes: Setting Out Of Horizontal Geometry Which Consists Of Straight Lines And Circular Curves, Using Of Transition Curves In Horizontal Geometry Of Routes. Design and Setting Out Of Vertical Geometry of Routes: Lengthwise Slope, Total Slope, Calculation Of Vertical Parabolic And Circular Curves. Setting out of Railways and Highways. Detecting Of Deformations: Determination Methods Of Horizontal And Vertical Deformations.
