Course Objectives 1) Improving the skills about, land survey, topographic measurements and applications.
2) Improving the skills about map use, cartometric evaluation on maps
3) Improving the skills about producing topographic maps.
Course Description Measurement units and scale, sources of surveying errors, distance measurement, surveying instruments, angle (horizontal/vertical) angle measurements and traversing, main computation methods, bearing, open and closed traverse, coordinate computation, height measurements, geometric and trigonometric leveling, profiles and cross sections, surface leveling, tacheometry, characteristics of contours, drawing, area and volume computation, application.
Course Outcomes 1) Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering
2) Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
3) Function on multi-disciplinary teams
4) Identify, formulate and solve engineering problems
5) Use the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
