Course Objectives		To earn the ability and know-how to operate a sanitary landfill
Course Description		Determination of the volume and the depth of the open dump. Earth leveling. Peripheral and surface drainage. Gas collection systems. Liners, mineral liners and geo-membranes, geo-textiles. Roads, culverts and other infrastructure. Service buildings. Leachate collection and treatment. Personnel training. Measures for labor and worker security. Mechanical equipment. Flares for landfill gas, active and passive utilization of the landfill gas. Design of solid waste landfill.
