Course Objectives 1. To provide to design a digital systems using digital system design techniques
2. To provide to realize a digital system
3. To given an ability to solve the problems.
Course Description TTL and CMOS Gate Characteristics, Synthesis of Boolean functions using SSI gate elements, MSI Decoders and Multiplexers, Combinational circuit synthesis using SSI and MSI elements, Analysis of synchronous sequential circuits, Sequence Detector, Synthesis of synchronous sequential circuits, synchronous and asynchronous counters, Shift registers, Design of adders and subtracters using SSI and MSI elements
Course Outcomes Students who pass the course will be able to:
I. Design and realize a combinational circuit
II. Design and realize a sequential circuit
III. Using digital system design tools (software/hardware)
IV. Solve the problems in digital system design in practice.
