Course Objectives
- Solve systems of linear equations using various methods,
- Understand fundamental concepts such as linear independence and dependence, linearity
- Be able to perform matrix algebra, including matrix inversion, multiplication, transpose etc.,
- Use the concept of vector spaces,
- Understand eigenvalues, eigenvectors and their significance in engineering problems.
- Solve dynamic systems using linear algebra concepts
Course Description
Systems of linear equations; solutions, linear dependence and independence, matrix algebra inner and outer products, determinants, vector spaces, null spaces, rank, eigenvalues and eigenvectors the characteritic equation, orthogonality, symmetric matrices and quadtratic forms, dynamic systems.
