Course Objectives 1. Fundamentals of power transmission lines
2. Knowledge on conductors and towers used in power transmission lines
3. Conductor calculations for symmetric and asymmetric tower placements
4. Preparing montage table for conductors
Course Description General knowledge on conductors used in power transmission lines, constructive spesifications of these conductors, conductor calculations foe several climatic conditions, critical tower space, critical temperature, classification of the towers used in power transmission lines, determination of main dimensions of towers and other calculations for towers.
Course Outcomes The students will learn the topics involved in this course and then they will use this knowledge in both some courses at the last year of their engineering education and their engineering careers especially to project of power transmission systems.
