Course Objectives The objective of this course is to expose the students to the theories and the practice of management in contemporary organizations from a conceptual, analytical, and pragmatic perspective.
Course Description The topics covered in the course include; understanding the evolution of management thought, analyzing the environment of management, planning, changing organizational architecture, and managing individuals and groups.
Course Outcomes The assignments given in the course will enable students to recognize the challenges of today’s organizations as well as apply the management concepts covered in the course for providing solutions to the real problems. By the end of the course, students are expected to develop a comprehension about the changing roles and functions of managers within organizational setting.
