Course Objectives The objective of this course is
1. To explicate the relationship between strategic management process and key organizational outcomes –physical product/service components, financial outputs, sustainable internal and external customer satisfaction-,
2. To enable students understand both the theoretical and practical implementations of the strategic management process in various technological settings and make them devise and implement strategies accordingly.
Course Description Strategic management processes and tools, such as external environment analysis, competitive analysis, analysis of internal resources and capabilities, development of strategies, corporate level strategy formulation, business level strategy formulation, delivery of innovation and added value are implemented via team based case studies.
Course Outcomes Students who will successfully complete this course will be able
I. To integrate their multi-disciplinary expertise that they have accumulated throughout their Engineering Management education on production, finance, management, marketing, economy and law,
II. To acquire key capabilities geared to understand and deploy modern strategic management tools/techniques and concepts, which enable them to make strategic decisions for increasing the survival capacities of organizations.
