Course Objectives

1. To introduce students with principles of constructing and designing a manufacturing system from raw material input to finished goods.
2. To teach how to analyze a manufacturing system and to design a factory based on a manufacturing system.

Course Description

Introduction to linear programming (LP). Graphical and simplex methods. Application of LP to MPC problems: Stock Management, Aggregate Planning. Production activity control. Theory of Constraints. Assembly Line balancing. Scheduling. Facility layout
