MAK 4065E - Refrigeration
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, students;
-Knows how to calculate the cooling load in refrigeration applications.
-Learns the differences between ideal and real vapor compression refrigeration systems and what needs to be done to improve these systems.
-Learns air-standard refrigeration systems and their application areas.
-Knows common and new generation refrigerants used in refrigeration systems and learns the selection of refrigerants for environmentally friendly applications.
-Knows how refrigeration systems should be analyzed within the framework of the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics and how to calculate and evaluate the system performance parameters required to develop these systems.
-Has knowledge about advanced refrigeration systems and their application areas, comparisons, and system selections.
