MAD 232E - Surface Mining

Course Objectives

Increasing world population requires increasing raw material production. As a result, Low grade ore deposits are mined
in an increasing trend. This requires enormous production. This is possible by removing the waste material above
mineral deposit for excavation. 80% of raw mineral materials are mined from surface mines.
