Course Objectives
1. Introducing the nature and size of the marine energy
2. Introducing the fundamental principles of exploiting marine energy
3. Discussing modern examples of marine energy converters
Course Description
Introduction to marine energy technology; Fundamental concepts in wave energy; Different methods in wave energy exploitation; Fundamental concepts in marine current energy; Different methods of exploiting marine currents; Introduction to electricity generation, power conditioning, and grid connection, Generic technological problems in marine energy exploitation.
